We want our clients to be able to access vet care locally as much as possible whilst maintaining a reasonable work-life balance for our staff. Therefore we are open until 7pm Monday – Friday and at weekends, our Etwall surgery is open from 8am – 1pm on Saturdays.
Outwith normal opening times please call the usual surgery number and you will be redirected to our out of hours service Vets At Night, which is based at Pride Veterinary Centre in Derby. Vets At Night is a dedicated out of hours provider with specially trained vets and nurses onsite throughout the nights and weekends.
One of the reasons we choose Vets At Night is that if pets are unwell and not ready to be discharged to home, they can remain at the Pride Veterinary Centre being cared for by dedicated staff until they are ready to be discharged. In contrast some other emergency providers are closed during the day and therefore clients have to collect their pet and transport them between their local practice and the emergency service morning and evening.
